Georgia law relating to sexually violent predators requires names and addresses of convicted sex offenders to be on file with the Sheriff's Department in the county where these individual reside after being released from prison or placed on probation.  Anyone named in this listed was convicted of one or more of the following offenses: kidnapping of a minor (except by a parent); false imprisonment of a minor (except by a parent); criminal sexual conduct toward a minor; solicitation of a minor to engage in sexual conduct;  use of a minor in a sexual performance; solicitation of minor to practice prostitution;  any offense that, by it's nature is a sexual offense against a minor, including rape, aggravated sodomy, aggravated child molestation or sexual battery.  This list of offenders must be available to the public, as of July l, 1997, and can be published.
